Brain Jump with Ned the Neuron: Challenges Grow Your Brain

Off to a great start!

Our class had a GREAT first week of school!  I am so thankful for each student who is part of my class this year.  This week in class we discussed how important it is to work through the challenges we encounter in school because they help our brains to grow.

Thanks to all of the families that attended the Back to School Bash that was held on Thursday, it was so great to see so many students and families at this event. Also, say hey to the students who dressed up for our school spirit day!

Diving In! '13-'14

The new school year is almost here! I am so excited to meet my new 3rd graders! I love Oakland Elementary School and the opportunity to teach AWESOME students like you!

To help you get to know a little bit about me before the school year starts:

I graduated from Anderson University in South Carolina.

I love running!

I love to be outdoors, whether it is the beach, hiking, or biking.

I am a BIG reader.  This year, one book that I have read is Roverandom by J.R.R. Tolkien.  It is a story about a puppy that is turned into a toy puppy and goes on an adventure to become a real puppy again.

I can't wait to hear about all the wonderful stories that you have read this year :)!

Thank you so much for visiting the class blog!
